Chris Horner’s Power Profile for Stage 7 2012 TDF

On a medium mountain stage efforts were high and Team Sky road on the from and literally burnt of the whole field apart from Evans and Nibali. Chris Horner had a flat with about 10km to go but made it back to the peleton where he did some work for the team before calling it a day. I have heard though not confirmed but I would be fairly confident that the figures are correct that Wiggins pushed a NP of 470 watts on the last climb of the day. At 70kg thats 6.7w/kg, 72.5kg its 6.48w/kg and 75kg its 6.26w/kg

Tour de France Stage 5 Andre Greipel’s Power file

Andre has won back to back stages in the years Tour de France with wins coming in Stages 4 & 5. Greipel won stage 4 with a max watt output of 1566 watts in the sprint but in stage 5 he had to put out a little more to secure the victory, 1837 watts in total. Unfortunately yesterday he only managed to take second place as his crash and shoulder dislocation on the climb of the day really hampered his power output. His 10 sec sustained max on stage 4 was 1420watts and stage 5 1260.

Tour de France Stage 5 Power Profile for Chris Horner RSNT

By the looks of things the tour is getting easier except for the insane finishes. Chris Horner’s average power was 139watts for 5hrs 6min on the bike….he wouldn’t generate a file as easy as this during training never mind the tdf.
